Physiotherapy
TMJ (Jaw) Dysfunction Physiotherapy
Temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) are complex problems related to the jaw joint. These conditions may be the result of several factors, including trauma (such as a car accident, a blow to the jaw, or a fall on the chin) and overuse (such as persistent clenching of the jaw). Most individuals with TMD also suffer from neck pain, so assessment and treatment of the neck could be an integral part of your treatment.
Treatment can include manual therapy (joint mobilization, massage, soft tissue stretching), intramuscular stimulation (IMS) to the jaw and neck musculature, exercise prescription and pain-reducing modalities.

Registered Massage Therapy
Bowen Technique (Registered Massage Therapy)
Bowen Therapy is a specific type of manual therapy, performed by Dillon Peters, who is a registered massage therapist trained in this particular treatment technique. The treatment uses specific pin-pointed rolling movements over tendons and muscles, and aims to reduce tension in soft tissue. Clients remain clothed for the treatment, and no oil is used. The treatment includes periods of rest, where the therapist leaves the room for a time, in order to allow the nervous system to respond to the treatment. The treatment is billable to extended health benefits under registered massage therapy. For more information about this type of treatment, please visit dillonpetersrmt.ca
Manual Lymph Drainage (Registered Massage Therapy)
Manual Lymph Drainage is a specific type of manual therapy, performed by Harps Judge, who is a registered massage therapist. The goal of the lymphatic system is to protect the body from infection and allow a healthy balance of fluids to move freely throughout the body. MLD is a very gentle, light touch form of massage based on pumping, circular and spiral shaped movements. The skin is stretched and torqued in a specific manner with the correct pressure, direction, and speed. This has been proven to encourage lymph flow and can greatly enhance recovery and facilitate drainage. The treatment is billable to extended health benefits under registered massage therapy. If you have questions about this treatment modality, please contact Harps Judge, RMT at harps.massage@outlook.com

For the next seven years Larry developed his exercise therapy skills by implementing and monitoring exercise programs, within a private physiotherapy clinic, that specialized in work conditioning and active rehabilitation. As a Personal Trainer and Strength Coach, he also had the opportunity to design exercise programs for many sport teams, athletes and weekend warriors of all skill levels.
In 2004, Larry returned to McMaster University to complete his Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. Immediately following his graduation Larry returned to private practice working a full-time orthopedic caseload in Surrey, BC. Recently, Larry left Surrey to work a full caseload, in the city he calls home, at Langley Physiotherapy.

Larry is currently working through his post-graduate Manual Therapy levels to improve his soft tissue and joint mobilization and manipulation skills.

Jason Chia-Cheng Liu RAc. BSc. Kin
About Jason Liu, R.Ac, B.Sc. (Kin)
Jason completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University in 2004, where he also earned a Certificate in Health and Fitness Studies. During his time at SFU, he completed two additional years of co-operative education in Kinesiology, gaining extensive hands-on experience in active rehabilitation, ergonomics, and health and fitness. He has been a practicing member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) since 2005.
After graduating, Jason was drawn to further studies that offered a more holistic and hands-on approach to health. Having grown up in Taiwan, he was familiar with the widespread use of Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and was inspired by its emphasis on balance and whole-person healing. Having personally experienced the benefits of acupuncture while recovering from sports injuries, he developed a deep appreciation for its effectiveness. Recognizing the powerful synergy between Eastern holistic therapy and Western evidence-based movement science, Jason pursued a three-year program in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Central College of Chinese Medicine.
Since 2009, Jason has been integrating Acupuncture and Kinesiology in his clinical practice. His unique approach combines the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern exercise and rehabilitation science. Rather than believing one form of treatment is superior, Jason emphasizes a personalized and integrated approach tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Jason is also the recipient of Platinum Awards for Best Acupuncture Service for three consecutive years, as voted by his local community—an acknowledgment of his dedication, care, and excellence in patient outcomes.
In his treatments, Jason incorporates modalities such as cupping, electroacupuncture, gua sha (fascial release), and tuina (manual therapy) to optimize recovery and restore balance. He also provides education on posture, muscle balance, and corrective exercises, empowering patients to take an active role in their own healing.
Jason provides effective treatments for a wide range of conditions, including:
Motor vehicle accident recovery, such as whiplash-associated disorders, headaches, low back pain, and sciatica
Musculoskeletal injuries, including sprains and strains, disc bulges, tennis elbow, shoulder impingement, and TMJ disorder.
Stress and anxiety management
Women’s health, including fertility support and menstrual regulation
Pain management for chronic pain, arthritis, and neuropathy
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family. He has a strong passion for motorcycling, fishing, and the outdoors. He regularly volunteers with his local church and community. You’ll often find him out on his motorcycle, hiking, paddleboarding, or relaxing by the water with a fishing rod in hand.
